This tool has been designed to spark reflection, generate awareness, and educate leaders and staff on what is needed to create and sustain culture change.

These benchmarks are based on research findings from the DEI Council Resource Guide. This exercise has been designed to help both leaders and DEI Councils save valuable time and resources so they can get to what they do best -- helping their organizations become more safe and fair, for everyone. 

This resource will help you:

1. Assess where you are. The activity will help you pinpoint your DEI Council’s maturity for each of the six DEI Council success factors that enable “leadership buy-in.” It will also help you estimate how mature your DEI Council is overall.

2. Map out where you want to go. Once you know where you are, you can then be strategic about where you want to go. Benchmarks will help you identify tangible, realistic ways your DEI Council can improve.
